I was born in a small Berber village in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. Growing up, I spoke Tamazight — the ancient language of the Imazighen people — before I learned Arabic, French, and English. My childhood was spent between rocky mountain trails, terraced garden villages, and the stories of my grandparents about our people's 4,000-year history in these mountains.
After years guiding travelers from across the world, I realized that what people really wanted wasn't just to see Morocco — they wanted to feel it. To sit in a family home and share tea. To ride a camel through a valley that has barely changed in centuries. To look up at snow-capped peaks and understand, truly understand, that this land is alive.
